Yesterday I received notification of a new internet marketing product called “Shiny Object Lemonade” by Lee Murray. As you might expect, I was kind of amused by the title yet at the same time intrigued enough to take a closer look.
Prior to visiting the Shiny Object Lemonade website, I’d never heard of Lee before, but as is often the case he already has a string of products to his name.
So it was no surprise that I would get wind of the hype surrounding his latest release – a product that Lee suggests might be his best yet.
In order to create this Shiny Object Lemonade review, I’ve just finished my second read of Lee’s eBook. so I’m in a good position to share my thoughts on what has been one of the most entertaining products that I’ve reviewed in a long time.
SHINY OBJECT LEMONADE REVIEW:
STEPPING BACK IN TIME
I have to admit it…I love a bit of retro.
As a mid-forties guy, you will often find me firing up my 80’s playlist on Spotify or reminiscing over all those TV programs that were great back in the day.
So it will probably come as no surprise to hear that I had a big grin on my face as soon as I landed on the Shiny Objects Lemonade website. It is VERY retro in appearance and in a strange kind of way, it feels refreshing (might be the lemons).
But the retro factor doesn’t stop there because Shiny Object Lemonade is a plain and simple eBook. Not only that but it’s 75 pages long and is mostly words with very few images.
No bells, whistles, gadgets, ‘one-click systems’, or anything that you are likely to encounter on the majority of money-making websites that we so often see nowadays.
SHINY OBJECT LEMONADE: WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
The actual angle of the Shiny Object Lemonade website at first appears to be nothing groundbreaking. “How to make $234 a day blogging” is not an unusual claim to make, but the more you read down the page you get the impression that this product has more to offer than what you might initially think.
A couple of points stood out for me.
The first is the mention of “shiny object syndrome” – a term used to describe a desire to own the latest and greatest programs or tools available.
The second point is that if you follow Lee’s advice, he claims you will get paid even if you fail.
Bold claims indeed, so it’s time to find out what secrets Shiny Object Lemonade might hold.
UNDERSTANDING THE SHINY OBJECT LEMONADE CONCEPT
The opening line from Lee’s ebook sets’ the tone for what’s coming, and it’s probably the only part of the guide that I can show you:
It’s a fair statement to make, but I’m going to be straight with you from the start and say that the ‘methods’ Lee reveals in his ebook are not new.
They have in fact launched plenty of online careers, particularly in the Internet marketing niche, and if you have some experience online then you will likely know of them or have read about them elsewhere.
HOWEVER (and it really is a BIG however)…
What makes Shiny Object Lemonade truly unique is the way that Lee writes about those methods, and most definitely, the tweaks he applies to them.
This makes Shiny Object Lemonade one of the most unique products that I have reviewed in a long time.
SOUR POWER
The best way to explain the whole idea of Shiny Object Lemonade (without giving too much away) is to say that you will be making lemonade from lemons.
Or to put it another way…turning something bitter into something sweet.
The key component to this refreshing end result is of course the “shiny objects” – those products or tools that you buy and they end up gathering dust and earning you nothing.
That’s as clear as I can make the connection without totally giving it away. If you have some experience online then it might be enough for you to work it out.
Spread over 8 chapters, Lee walks you through every aspect of his methods covering each step in varying degrees of intensity.
I found the first 26 pages, in particular, to be fairly intense as a) you adjust to Lee’s unique style of writing and b) you understand his thought processes.
Don’t get me wrong…Lee is a fantastic writer and he will definitely entertain you. It might just take a couple of reads to fully appreciate every golden nugget.
Chapter 4 is where you get step-by-step instructions on how to apply what Shiny Object Lemonade teaches, and Lee has done a great job of simplifying it and making it actionable.
Chapters 5 through 8 mostly relate to traffic generation and email marketing – topics that Lee clearly knows a lot about.
He comes up with a number of golden nuggets in this section that will definitely help if you struggle as an email marketer.
CAN YOU MAKE MONEY WITH SHINY OBJECT LEMONADE?
You definitely can…but it will require ongoing effort.
This leads me to say that, in my opinion, Shiny Object Lemonade is probably more suited if you have some experience online.
In fact, if you’ve built a website, or tried your hand at email marketing and generating traffic, and have failed…Shiny Object Lemonade is the perfect product to get you back in the IM saddle.
If you’re a newbie then you will first need to grasp the basics of affiliate marketing and email marketing in particular before fully understanding the power of Shiny Objects Lemonade.
SHINY OBJECT LEMONADE REVIEW: MY FINAL THOUGHTS
It’s been a long time since I’ve written a review where I say something like this, but I am very impressed by Shiny Object Lemonade!
Most of that is down to Lee and his fantastic writing style, but he really has done a grand job of taking a simple and widely used method and turning it into a unique product. Hats off to him.
At just $5 Shiny Object Lemonade is definitely not going to break the bank. I’ve just had one final check of the product and at the time of writing this, it has had almost no refunds.
That doesn’t surprise me at all.
Lemonade has never tasted so refreshing.
Pro’s

- A great pick-me-up for marketers who have lost their direction.
- Excellent concept name and connection with the process.
- Will earn you money if you take ongoing action.
Cons
- Newbies would struggle to make this work from a standing start.
