Cash 4 Books is an online book buying service which is owned and run by McKenzieBooks.com. They are located in Beaverton, Oregon and are a family owned business.
Cash 4 Books provides a fast, easy to use service whereby you enter the 10-13 digit ISBN number into the box provided and you will be given a price for that book.
This is available to anyone who has books which they no longer want and are looking to declutter. It does not matter if they are college textbooks, hardcover, paperback, fiction or non-fiction, so long as the book has an ISBN then you can enter this to see if they have a value.
Next you print off the Shipping Label with nothing to pay, pack your books into a box and post.
Payment is sent after the books have been received by Cash 4 Books, inspected and marked as ‘processed’. Then the payment is sent within 3 days of being processed and you can either have a check or payment via PayPal.
I thought I would try this with one of my own books to see if it was worth anything, not that I have any intention of selling it but I was curious about the value. Unfortunately for my book it came back ‘sorry, not buying’.
That made think as to why, so I tried another site and got the same answer which makes me think that they only buy books which they can resell because someone has asked for a copy of that book.
Cash 4 Books also buy College Textbooks which as we all know are a huge expense in the beginning, but unless you have a family member to pass them onto or intend to keep hold of stored in a box somewhere, then selling them to make some cash back is a good thing.
All books must NOT have any of the following otherwise they will not be accepted:
- Missing or loose pages
- Major wear to the binding
- Tears to the cover or pages
- Water, moisture damage, mold, or stains
- Fire or smoke damage

- Exceeds Cash4Book’s maximum quantity of each ISBN
These types of books will not be accepted by Cash 4 Books:

Cash4books.net is a great website that allows you to make real cash from your books that might just be collecting dust at home. If you have used this service yourself then add your comment below and let us know how you got on.
