Are you looking at getting into the dropshipping business?
Before you consider joining Doba you’ll want to read what WFHW has discovered about this program in our Doba review.
Doba Review: What Exactly is Doba?
Doba is a dropshipping company with a unique blend of product sourcing, shipping, and education in building an online business.
The advantage of using Doba is you don’t need to negotiate with wholesale suppliers yourself nor do you need to get a reseller’s license. You have the convenience of accessing multiple suppliers through Doba.
Doba is not a wholesaler and they do not warehouse any products. They simply act as the middleman between Doba members and their drop shippers. Doba does not make money from product sales. Their profit comes solely from membership fees.
Doba is an eBay-certified service provider with tools that integrate with eBay and allow you to immediately post auctions.
How Does Doba Work?
Doba offers over a million top-selling products from over three hundred reliable and competitively priced drop shippers and manufacturers from around the world.
Some of the largest retailers such as Sam’s Club, Costco, and Amazon use drop shipping as a means to fulfill their customer’s orders.
Dropshipping increases their profit margin by reducing the amount of time and money required to manage inventory and pack and ship products.
With Doba, you can place orders from any of their drop shippers from one easy-to-use interface. They allow you to place orders for individual products which give you the opportunity to test products to see if there is a market for them and if it’s lucrative.
The majority of products Doba features in its extensive catalog are real, name-brand products. The products are new and come in factory-sealed boxes.
Doba guarantees that they have the lowest prices among Internet drop shippers. If you happen to find a better wholesale price Doba will waive your monthly fee for two months.
What Are The Benefits Of Dropshipping?
1. With drop shipping the setup fees are minimal.
2. The supplier stores and manages the inventory.
3. The supplier packages and ships products directly to the customers.
4. You pay the supplier after the customer pays you.
5. You can test markets with little or no risk.
6. You can focus your time on profitable activities such as marketing, advertising, and product research.
How Much Does Doba Cost?
Doba offers a 7-day free trial. Afterward, the fee is $59.95 per month.
Is Doba A Scam? Here’s What Others Are Saying…
While searching the web for Doba reviews I came across a number of complaints about Doba.
Here’s a list of some of the complaints filed:
1. Doba products are overpriced. In fact, many members discovered the prices are closer to retail than they are wholesale. This is an interesting point considering Doba’s guarantee.
2. A large number of products were out of stock.
3. Some had problems canceling before the free trial was up and were billed the monthly fee.
4. There were many complaints from people who paid for an annual membership with Doba. They also paid to have products listed on eBay and 6 months later still hadn’t made a sale.
5. Some dissatisfied members had difficulty getting their money back from Doba. Most had to go through their credit card company for a refund.
With these complaints in mind, you should proceed with caution if you are considering joining this program.
WFHW also recommends doing your own research before giving Doba your credit card information.

I have successfully used Doba for about 8 months. I joined just before the holiday shopping season in 2014. As an experienced eTailer, I found their platform very easy to begin using and integrating into my systems. I sell a lot on Amazon, where price is hard to compete. Although it can be time consuming to work through the 3 million products, I have found great KVI products and products with very competitive margins. Their Curate Product Lists have been a great service, helping me merchandize the right products at the right time. I can’t speak for their service at the time this review was written (2012), but my experience with Doba has produced a good ROI thus far and is worth my time.
Hi Samuel,
It’s always good to hear of positive experiences with products and services that have caused concern.
Of course, the Doba system has changed over the years and if your more recent experiences are anything to go by, I am pleased to hear they have moved the company forward in such a positive way.
Best wishes to you, Samuel.

Thank you, Marcus, for your integrity. Sites like yours are absolutely necessary in this day and age where unscrupulous companies will commission full time raters who will review 5 stars and comment exactly what said companies instruct them to. I have a hard time trusting reviews anymore, even those marked “verified purchaser” for this reason.
Again, thank you for running an unbiased and honest site that truly helps the consumer, and best of luck to you!
(By the way, I agree 100% with every reply you’ve written!)
Thank you so much, Stephanie!
You are right to say that it’s difficult to trust reviews these days as many of them earn commission payments for saying a program is good no matter how bad it is. I have absolutely no intention of doing that and my preferred approach is to recommend good programs that are free to use or at least free to try. That way my visitors can make informed decisions about a program before spending any money.
Thanks once again for your input, Stephanie. I really appreciate your kind words. :-)
Best wishes,
Marcus – WFHW
Glad to see a website that tells the truth about DOBA and doesn’t sing their praises. Most sites talking about dropshippers say what a wonderful company they are. Like others said it is a scam. Personally I can’t believe it’s not illegal for them to do what they do. They make claims that are clearly false. As I found out there is no money to be made with this company. You might as well take the money you pay them and put it in a paper shredder because it’s gone either way, you will never see any of that money back in sales. Maybe there is a decent dropshipper out there but I kind of doubt it but I know DOBA is’t one of them!!
Hi Jennifer,
Unfortunately the reason why some people will say a bad program or website is good is simply because they will earn a commission for recommending it to you.
I don’t run this website in that way. I prefer to tell the truth and then let my visitors make their own minds up. It’s that simple.
That said, dropshipping is widely regarded as a risky online business for many reasons and I believe that it’s one that the scammers take great advantage of.
Thanks for stopping by and I’m glad to have been of some help to you.
Best wishes,
Marcus

Beware with this company. They lure you with the 14 days free trail and charge your account before the 14 days, They don’t refund if they charge your account. I canceled by their web site customer support last week and receive an automatic message that i have to do it by phone, 3 days after i try to cancel by their website i discover that they charge the monthly fee to my account. I call them on the phone and they don’t want to refund my fees. I have to open a dispute with my Paypal. Still waiting to resolve this issue. Stay away from this company.
Hi Rafael
Paypal’s dispute department is very effective at resolving disputes. They should be able to help you resolve this situation.
Keep us posted on your progress.

i just got ripped of by Doba, they have money back guarantee, but if you follow their instructions, just like i followed the instructions from the person in charge of my account, they make excuses to give your money back.
This is the worst dropship company i ever deal with. their prices are more expensive than other retail online shops.
they should not advertise that they provide wholesale prices when is not true
Hi Icaro
Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with Doba. How did you pay for your purchase? If you used Paypal or your credit card company you maybe able to request a refund through them if Doba does not live up to their guarantee.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks for the thought provoking article.
I do have one comment, however, in that sales even from eBay are not going to depend upon your choice of drop shipper or even the eBay integration software. It is the responsibility of the vendor not only to choose products that have a high demand, but to make the choices necessary to present those products in a way that will draw traffic. No matter the claims of any company, that is squarely on the seller who needs to do their homework before selecting a product, or writing sales copy, etc.
However the other points you mention are very useful. Thank you!
Hi Marie
I would agree sales are dependent on the way the seller promotes the product. However, if the drop shipper does not fulfill according to their policy then it doesn’t matter how good your advertising is you will end up with bad reviews and a tarnished reputation.
All the best,
Terri

I was considering joining Doba as well, but, I was turned off by the monthly membership fee, which is not justified at all, and the frequest phone calls I kept recieving from their sales people trying to pressure me to join. I completely blocked them off my list. I think I made the right decision considering the large number of complaints.
Thank you,
Hi Mike
We’re glad that our Doba Review was helpful for you. A reputable company should never hound you or pressure you into buying.
All the best,
Terri
