Kevin Fahey’s IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 Review: The Real Deal or Another Affiliate Scam?
If you’re a follower of new IM releases then you are likely to have heard of ‘IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0‘ – a recently released product by Kevin Fahey.
Kevin, who claims to have generated millions of dollars worth of affiliate sales over the last 8 years, is also responsible for IM Affiliate Funnel 1.0 over a year ago. This is the first time I’ve heard of him, but that doesn’t mean he is not a widely respected marketer. I’m looking forward to learning more about him and his tactics.
I’m drawn to Kevin’s bold claim on the IM Affiliate Funnel website where he states that he has earned over $100,000 in affiliate sales for working less than an hour a day. Read my entire review to discover how realistic these claims are as I investigate if Kevin is the real deal or he’s simply trying to fool people with false claims.
The IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 Opportunity
The first thing that hits you when you visit the IM Affiliate 2.0 website is that unmissable claim of earning big bucks for not a lot of work. I’ve been an affiliate marketer for many years and I’ve met very few people who can earn at such an incredible rate. I’m more than intrigued and click play on the video to see what Kevin has to say about his methods.
Kevin’s intro message is well-scripted and a little bit dramatic, but he comes across as a likeable guy. He talks about the frustrations of many affiliate marketers who struggle to make regular sales, and how IM Affiliate Funnel can help. He emphasizes that his product is one that anyone can pick up and run with and start making money online within 24 hours.
The sales page mostly consists of earnings screenshots and numerous testimonials from Kevin’s previous customers. At this point I have to say that my internal ‘scam alarm’ is warming up. Kevin seems like a really genuine guy but the earning claims seem extreme and I’ve reviewed many programs that suggest anyone can make their methods work, and quickly.
There’s only one way to find out for sure…It’s time to buy the IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 and see exactly what Kevin has up his sleeve.
Now if you are thinking of purchasing IM Affiliate funnel 2.0, I want to highlight a couple of points:
The first point is the price of the program rises over time. When I bought my copy, the ‘buy now’ button was at $28.57 and on the confirmation page I was offered a discount code which took the price down to $25.51. It’s a strange process to be honest, but it’s something that I wanted to make you aware of because the price is likely to change.
The second point is that you will be hit with a series of upsells and downsells before you even get to log into the IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 website. In total there were 4 and the first one is an upgrade for $197.
There’s another video from Kevin on this page where he explains that upgrading to the VIP training will give you the complete set of tools and resources. To be fair, the list of extras is a lengthy one and they look good, but for the sake of my visitors I wanted to see if this product can live up to it’s claims for the original price ($28).
After passing on the VIP training I then got hit with another chance to try it for 7 days at just $4.95. I was hoping the video on this page would be a new one explaining more about the trial but it was the same as the video on the previous page where Kevin said the price as $197. Confusing, but maybe intentional.
I skipped past a couple more offers and eventually made my way to the IM Affiliate Funnel members area. I have to say that I know upsells and downsells play a big part of marketing these days, but they can push you to the edge and create a negative mindset before you even try the product.
The IM Affiliate Funnel Members Area
Immediate impressions of the members area are that if feels very busy with lots of options and bright flashing colors.
Thankfully there’s a overview video where Kevin introduces you to the training and explains all the essentials. The standout features are a support desk for those who need help and a form to fill out for a free coaching call. All of the training can be accessed from the main menu at the top of the page.
Before I check out the training I take a quick look around for any obvious signs of further upsells. They are definitely there but not in a way that makes you feel like they are being forced on you.
The core training focuses on 2 key areas – the first version of IM Affiliate Funnel (1.0) and IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0. I had a quick look over the 1.0 training and there are 9 lessons explaining how Kevin makes money as an affiliate. There’s a downloadable pdf where Kevin also explains his rise to fame and outlines affiliate marketing as a business model.
The 2.0 training consists of a total of 10 videos. There are some crossovers in terms of content being similar between 1.0 and 2.0, but the general impressions I got was that 2.0 is a refreshed version of 1.0.
Before I give a bit more detail on the 10 videos in 2.0, I’m going to explain what the main affiliate marketing strategy is for IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0.
Affiliate Funnel 2.0 focuses mostly on promoting new IM releases from JV Zoo. The key factors covered in the training are: planning and creating your promotion, using various social networks to build an email list prior to a release and then hitting that list hard when the product is released. The end result is a large and quick number of sales.
If this process is one that you’ve seen before then as an experienced marketer I can assure you that Kevin knows his stuff and delivers a great training package. The majority of the videos are in an over the shoulder format, and he certainly over-delivers on detail.
IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 Video Content
In all the 10 training videos for 2.0 total around 2 and a half hours, so there is a lot of quality content to get through. I am not going to list exactly what each video is about because I think it could reveal too much about Kevin’s unique process. Here’s a ‘in a nutshell’ overview of the main topics covered within the videos:
- An introduction to the business model and set up costs (approx $25 per month and a couple of one-off costs at a total of $75).
- Product research focusing mostly on 2 specific websites and techniques.
- Planning and executing an affiliate promotion including a specific checklist.
- How to generate a lot of free and targeted traffic.
- Paid traffic and how to get the best quality for your promotion.
- Tips and tricks on automating the business model.
Does Kevin have any tricks up his sleeve?
When I first looked at IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 I remember a video testimonial where a guy with experience said he learned a few new tricks from Kevin. At the time I thought his comment were probably a bit O.T.T, but I can confirm that Kevin has definitely taught me a few things.
What I got from IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 is that Kevin Fahey is a guy from a humble background who worked his butt off to become successful. His method is simple in theory, but it requires a technical mind and you definitely need to be an action taker.
I picked up 4 or 5 gems from Kevin’s process, and the revelation of one paid tool in particular can completely transform an email marketers earning potential. I will definitely be taking a look.
My Final Thoughts of IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0
First of all, it’s DEFINETELY not a scam. Kevin has clearly worked hard to cram some great quality content into the program. The method is legitimate and there is little wonder it has helped Kevin to fly high on JV leaderboards.
My ONLY concern…
I hate to be negative about IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 because it doesn’t deserve a negative review. But there’s one main point that I want to mention for the benefit of my readers.
I honestly don’t think that someone new to affiliate marketing could start making money right away with Kevin’s product. Yes, there is some basic introduction training, but affiliate marketing is a vast topic and it takes a while to grasp exactly how it works.
Kevin’s methods and training videos are very specific and I fear maybe too technical for your average newbie. If you are thinking of trying IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 then my suggestion would be to get some basic affiliate marketing training first.
With that said, if you do have some affiliate marketing experience then you are likely to benefit a great deal from Kevin’s training.
- Deceptively detailed training program.
- Kevin is a likeable kind of guy.
- A legitimate affiliate marketing method.
- Plenty of support options.
- An eye-opener for affiliates who wonder how people top JV leaderboards.
- Initial upsells are a pain.
- Technically advanced so newbies will probably struggle.
- There are upfront costs to set a campaign up in the way Kevin suggests.
- A very competitive niche. Nerves of steel required.
I really enjoyed reviewing Kevin Fahey’s IM Affiliate Funnel 2.0 and gained a lot from it. If you have any thoughts or have maybe tried Kevin’s product yourself, I’d love to hear your comments below!
