9 years ago I would never have imagined that I would one day be sat here helping you to find a legitimate way to make money on the Internet because back then, I was the guy trying to find a way to earn a living working from home.

You see, at that time I was in my mid-thirties and working on a production line in a local factory. It was a tough and low paid job.

I had reached the point of desperation. My job was not paying enough to support my wife and two young children. The stress of the whole situation was keeping me awake at night. Somehow, something had to change.

All I wanted was to earn some extra cash online and provide a better life for my family. But despite my efforts all I did was FAIL, time and time again. Other people were making good money online, so why couldn’t I?

Then I discovered what I was doing wrong…

I was chasing false hope … AKA – ‘get rich quick’ programs.

I know how easy is to fall for scam programs when you are in a desperate situation, but in reality the only people making money from them are the people who create them. If you’ve ever fallen for an online scam then you will know how frustrated it can make you feel.

“It took me a considerable amount of time and money to realize the promises being made to me were nothing but fake.”
.

So I changed my approach and eventually came across a program that was gaining in popularity.

At that time, a time when get-rich-quick schemes flooded the Internet, this program stood out from the crowd because it made no promises of great riches or a lavish lifestyle.

What it did promise was the chance to earn a legitimate and consistent income online IF I was prepared to put it the effort. No fluff, no smoke and mirrors.

This unique and refreshing program is called Wealthy Affiliate, and little did I know at the time that it would eventually go on to change my life in a BIG way.

Wealthy Affiliate – the short and ‘to the point’ overview

Wealthy Affiliate is an affiliate marketing community that teaches people how to build niche-specific websites and earn a regular online income from them.

Everything you need is included under one virtual roof at Wealthy Affiliate with step-by-step training, free websites, free web hosting, free Internet/affiliate marketing tools, free keyword tool and most importantly, 24/7 – 365 live support. Best of all, it’s completely free to get started.

Wealthy Affiliate is suitable for people with all levels of ability, but is most acclaimed for helping complete online newbies or those who have previously failed with their attempts to make money online.

Wealthy Affiliate can be used by anyone from anywhere in the world by PC, laptop, iPad or smartphone.

To date the creators and co-owners, Kyle and Carson, have helped 100,000’s of ordinary people to create legitimate and successful affiliate marketing businesses since the birth of Wealthy Affiliate’s back in 2005.

Turning your interests into income at Wealthy Affiliate

No matter what your passions or interests are in life, they can form the basis of a successful website and affiliate marketing business at Wealthy Affiliate.

With over 2 billion people around the world searching the Internet at any given time, there will always be a percentage that share your interests and will find your website interesting and helpful – no matter how obscure or unique the topic might be.

But how do you find YOUR niche?

The easiest way is to grab a pen and paper and make a simple list.

Think about…hobbies, things you are good at, things that excite and motivate you, things you would like to help people with, and an often over-looked idea that will bring out your inner-expert…issues that you have managed to overcome.

As an example of a niche, something that I like to do is cook vegetarian Thai food.

This would be a great niche for me because I am passionate about the topic and I would like to share my tips, recipes and advice with others.

With the help of the Wealthy Affiliate training and keyword tool I am also able to establish that 10,000’s of people search each month for information on this topic so it would be a perfect niche for me.

One of the first things you learn when you start training at Wealthy Affiliate is how to analyze your interests and come up with a niche that is right for you.

These easy-to-follow steps will then lead to creating your website…a simple process that takes 30 seconds at Wealthy Affiliate. This means that once inside Wealthy Affiliate you will very quickly get the foundations of your affiliate marketing business in place.
.

Have a niche idea? Turn it into your own online business at Wealthy Affiliate

The truth is, there are no secrets to making money through affiliate marketing. But if you want to earn a consistent and/or potentially job-quitting income then you need to approach things in a completely different way.

This is where Wealthy Affiliate will become your B.O.F.F – “best online friend forever” :-)

Since 2005, Kyle and Carson (the Wealthy Affiliate co-founders) have worked tirelessly to create a work from home community where anyone can learn the right way to generate an income online.

“It’s not just about building a website on any topic and hoping that people will visit…”

It’s about creating a niche-based platform (a website) that appeals greatly to people who share your interests. Your website will rank high in the search engine results and people will be more than happy to share it on social networks. This will generate you a constant flow of visitors to your website on a daily basis.

Your visitors will appreciate your help, knowledge and efforts and learn to regard you as an authority on the topic. This creates trust in you and any recommendations that you might make.

To teach Wealthy Affiliate members this process requires a training program that breaks the steps down in fine detail, tools and resources that simplify any of the more technical tasks and a robust support system that you can turn to at anytime for anything.

And this highlights why I and so many others regard Wealthy Affiliate so highly…

Your chances of success online are GREATLY increased when you follow a structured training program and have support from people who genuinely want to help you succeed.

This is exactly what you get at Wealthy Affiliate, and it all starts with the acclaimed “Getting Started” training available as soon as you create your Starter Account.

Kyle & Carson (the owners) are real, genuine and always available.

In fact, Kyle and Carson are active inside Wealthy Affiliate on a daily basis. It might be that they are adding new training or just hanging out in the Live Chat to see if anyone needs a hand. Whatever they are doing, you can reach out to Kyle and Carson for help or even just a chat whenever you want to.

You get to build an online business at NO cost

As one of the most trusted and respected work from home communities on the Internet, Wealthy Affiliate’s flagship Premium membership costs $47 per month and is widely regarded as the most cost-effective and complete online business program.

However, the Starter membership is completely free, and it represents a genuine and transparent way to not only try Wealthy Affiliate, you also get to build your affiliate business and start earning from it.

There are obviously differences between the 2 membership levels, but the Starter membership provides you with everything you need to bring your online business to life. Step by step training, 24/7 support, 2 free websites, free domain names and free hosting.

This allows you to completely test drive the Wealthy Affiliate system for free and decide if it is right for you. Not only that but you can remain a Starter member for as long as you want to, and at no cost.

The training will make you do this ONE very important thing…

Take action.

No matter how new you are to making money online, the step-by-step training is very cleverly structured in such a way that you cannot fail to make real progress.

That’s because the core of the training program is task-driven, so as you follow the training you are also completing tasks that contribute to the development of your website and affiliate business.

It’s a fun and enjoyable way to create something of great value and potential. Something you might never have imagined would be possible. Something you can take great pride in when sharing your achievements with friends and family.

What can you expect to achieve at Wealthy Affiliate?

As I mentioned at the start of this review, Wealthy Affiliate has changed my life in a very positive way.

VegasOne of the first things that I was able to do when my online business started to work was to move my family out of our tiny 2 bedroom flat and into a much bigger family home. This might be a small step for some but for us it was HUGE.

I was also able to quit my job and work full time from home. This gave us more quality family time and allowed me to provide a more comfortable life for my wife and two children.

I’ve even been able to do something very important to me and that is to work out more and maintain a more healthier lifestyle. Ok, maybe I try just a little harder than I did before…lol.

Finally, creating a successful affiliate business at Wealthy Affiliate has allowed me to travel the world and visit places that would never have been possible if I was still working in the factory. I love the freedom that my work from home career gives me.

That’s my story. How about YOUR goals?

I want you to understand that no goals are too big or small At Wealthy Affiliate.

From earning a few extra $100’s each month to replacing a full time income (and more), the step-by-step training, tools and 24/7 support within the Wealthy Affiliate community will provide you with everything you need to achieve your goals.

And it’s important to remember that you are in total control of how much time you devote to the training and the pace at which you build your online business. ‘When you have the time’, part time, full time or if you’re like me…’all the time’ is just fine!

Here are some personal goals that I have seen others mention at Wealthy Affiliate…

Clearing debt
Being able to pay bills on time
Earning extra cash for holidays and Christmas
Supplement a current income
Ease the financial pressure on a partner who works
Reduce the fear of losing a job
Top up income during retirement

.Whatever your situation or what you want to achieve, Wealthy Affiliate has a proven record of helping people to finally start earning a consistent and legitimate income online. I absolutely know it can do the same for you.

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for this really great review. I found your website while I was looking for a way to work from home and I’m really interested in Wealthy Affiliate and what it has to offer.

Can I just clarify about the starter membership. It costs nothing and it doesn’t end? I’ve checked out the website and see the power of the premier membership but just want to know if I can stick with the starter until I’m sure about paying $47 a month. I know it’s not a lot of money these days but I want to be sure first.

Looking forward to your reply and getting started at Wealthy Affiliate.

Jo

    Marcus - August 24, 2016 Reply

    Hi Jo,

    Thanks for the kind words!

You are correct…the Starter membership is free for life. The idea of this level of membership is to introduce you to what Wealthy Affiliate can do and what’s included with the Premium membership. If you stick with the Starter membership rather than upgrading, you still have access to the Wealthy Affiliate community and all of the Starter training. You can upgrade to Premium (if you decide to) at anytime.

Hope this helps and I look forward to helping you at WA!

    Cheers,

    Marcus – WFHW

I’m not too knowledgeable of this tech stuff, but this site looks great for learning what I need to do. I am hoping to set up a site for those who would like to discuss and get good recommendations for entertainment (maybe video games?) Also help shed some light on the growing popularity of browser client games, and popular recommendations. Is this a good idea?

Also, what are options to accept payment? I don’t remember where I read it, but I think I saw an option to credit to my bank account or by pay pal. Does this Pay pal need to be connected to my current bank account?
Thanks!

Jake

    Marcus - June 16, 2016 Reply

    Hi Jake,

That’s definitely a niche idea to run with. WA would teach you how to zoom in on a focused part of a niche idea because that is often where the greatest potential exists. For example: rather than a general gaming website, one that is focused on a particular type of gaming or even system. Another example…PS4 games, PC gaming, VR gaming (going to be very big) and browser games as you suggested. There’s just so much potential!

Regarding your payment question, I’m not 100% sure that I understand so I will give you a couple of possible answers:

    1) WA is free to join as a Starter member, so you can start the training right away and start building your website. If you wish to upgrade to Premium at any point in the future, it will cost $47 per month and this can be paid by credit/debit card or Paypal.

    2) As an affiliate, you can receive commissions in number of ways, depending on the affiliate network. Most will pay by check/cheque, many will wire it directly to your account and many will also pay you by Paypal. Basically, you have a number of options.

Hope this helps to cover everything, Jake, and I hope to see you inside WA soon!

    All the best,

    Marcus – WFHW

Hello Marcus

I found your site whilst looking at the ‘Free Money System’ scam.

I am a professional restorer of Dinky/Corgi toys from the past up to 1970. I would like to generate my interest and what I do to a broad spectrum of public worldwide in the hope to obtain a steady degree of business, whether sales or commissions.

Is this something WA could help me with?

Regards

    Hi Ivor,

Yes, WA definitely can help you to develop an online presence for your existing offline business.

Promoting your own products to a worldwide audience has a number of benefits…100% profit from sales, massive target audience, instant authority within your niche and the potential to grow your business in a big way.

It won’t cost you a penny to try WA, Ivor, so by all means give it a look. I’m available daily within WA so feel free to drop me a line on the inside if you would like me to help you move forward with your idea.

    Marcus - April 27, 2016 Reply

    Hi Blossom,

Yes, no problem at all. WA supports 99% of the countries around the World, but generally speaking this type of business is open to anyone no matter where you live. If you click on the link above, the WA system will confirm that you can join the community from your location :)

Luke - March 14, 2016 Reply

Hi Marcus.
I have a question regarding the niche aspect of building a website. Your niche example of Thai food and recipes is very specific … Very niche.
I love movies and feel like I have a good way of talking about them. Writing movie reviews is an idea and hobby that I would enjoy. In your opinion, is that niche enough?
Obviously, if I only reviewed a certain genre of movie (sci-fi, horror, action, comedy, musicals, etc) that could be more niche. But I watch and like many different genres of movies and am not sure I would want to limit myself to just one genre. Is this an idea that you think could work, or how would you tweak it to be a top notch WA niche idea?
Thanks!

    Marcus - March 14, 2016 Reply

    Hi Luke,

To be honest “movies” alone is rather broad and very competitive as it is. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great starting point for uncovering a move refined niche topic. I’m certainly not trying to put you off…I’m trying to help you find an easier entrance point into your potential online business.

One possible way to look at your interest in movies is to maybe consider where and how people view them. For example: I like to watch movies at home, and I therefore like to have a good quality TV and audio setup…it’s very important to me.

So right there you have an off-shoot (just one of many) of the broader “movie” topic.

Someone who likes to watch good movies at home with a high quality TV, sound and comfort setup!

    Can you see the connection?

Now if for example you had a niche website about creating the best home cinema setup, this would also allow you to write movie reviews because there is an obvious connection there.

This type of niche business has the potential to be very lucrative because a good home cinema system is not cheap.

I’m not suggesting this is definitely the route you should take, Luke, but I hope it helps you to see the numerous options that you could consider.

    All the best,

    Marcus – WFHW

Laura - February 24, 2016 Reply

Thanks for all your reviews, Very inspiring.
Just to confirm or get clear as I’m not really up with all the technical info…. By including ads and links etc to shops and websites, is this something you have to negotiate with the owners? Is there an agreement with them to be arranged so that you earn the income from them or how does it work? Probably sounds like I have no idea which I don’t!! Please advise. Thank you

    Marcus - February 25, 2016 Reply

    You are welcome, Laura.

No, you do not need to negotiate an affiliate deal with any companies when adding their links to your website.

“Affiliate networks” is a term given to online hubs where businesses allow people to get affiliate links (unique to the individual) for their products. You add these links to your website content and then when people purchase a product or service, you earn a commission for your part in the sale. The company handles the entire sale process…you just receive your payment.

Some of the biggest companies in the world allow affiliates to promote their products. Amazon, Google, Apple and Walmart are all such examples. At the other end of the scale, small scale businesses are also eager for affiliates to promote their products. It’s a win-win situation for all concerned.

I hope this helps to answer your question, Laura. If you have any further questions then feel free to leave a further comment.

    Regards,

Hi

So, I have a question, I noticed that some people have indeed asked what the paid version of w/a does that the starter doesn’t, and you’ve dodged admirably around that question.

So, what does it entail? If I sign up to make a blog regarding my life and the building of a (hopefully) successful vine channel, what would be the benefit of paying for a W/A account that I seemingly can’t obtain from a free one?

Looking forward to actually finding out.

Thanks

Trick

    Marcus - February 3, 2016 Reply

    Hi Trick,

Certainly not intentionally avoiding the question. The simple reason for that is…I prefer people to try the free Starter membership first rather paying from the Premium membership straight away. Many people do that, but I would rather my visitors keep their money in their pockets until they can make an informed decision about what is on offer.

Regarding the difference between the 2 membership types, you can find those details on the following page where everything is covered in detail:

    > WA membership differences

Hope this helps to answer your questions.

    Hi River,

    Thanks for the great question!

I can assure you that this is a worldwide opportunity. Anyone with Internet access has the ability to build a website and appeal to the global market. Likewise, specific parts of the world can also be focused on if required.

And just to give you an example…I receive visitors from many countries to this website and the UK is high on that list.

Thanks for stopping by, River, and I hope this helps to clarify things for you!

Hi Marcus, I am just wondering if this comment section is real? see if my comment makes it or if you’re just another scammer (no offense). I found your blog after I seen the free money scam and clicked the link to this site I am going to go ahead and start a starter account at WA. I am curious as to what your online business is? what do you sell? is it just blogs? thank in advance. :D

    Marcus - January 10, 2016 Reply

    Hi Trevor,

I can assure that ALL comments made here are VERY real! I receive anything between 20 – 50 comments per day to the various posts and reviews, and I then work my way through them and reply to those that are genuine.

What is my online business? I have a few websites online, and they are based on topics that interest me personally. I also run websites for offline businesses local to me. Then there’s this website which consumes the most time but brings a lot of satisfaction when I am able to prevent people falling for scams and help them to find genuine opportunities.

It’s also important to me that I help people to find free or low cost opportunities (if not to use, to at least to try), as I believe that many people/websites GREATLY overcharge for services and programs online these days.

I hope this goes some way to answering your questions,Trevor, and hopefully addressing your concerns that I might be just another scammer!

If you do decide to give WA a try then drop me a line and I’ll introduce you to WA and give you a bit of a personal introduction. If you do then please reference our chat here just to remind me!

All the best and enjoy the remainder of your Sunday :-)

Hello Marcus,

Seeing how much you reply really hekps to show that this isn’t a scam. I am very interested. What we do with our websites is completely up to us right? Is it possible, that is to say, does the architecture of the website platforms support videos(embedded preferably) I have been wanting to start my own Guitar Teaching Website, complete with a bunch of supplemental content. Would this be something that I could actually do through WA?

    Marcus - January 10, 2016 Reply

    Hi Eddie,

Yes, the content is entirely up to you. Your website absolutely can include content such as embedded videos plus any other type of media. There are no restrictions in terms of what you can include and as websites are built on the WordPress platform, it’s very easy to make any adjustments going forward.

A guitar training website would be a great niche idea, Eddie, and it’s definitely something that will allow you to hit the ground running at WA!

I’m active on WA every day so if you do decide to give it a look, drop me a line on the inside :-)

My husband and I have been sort of joking about starting a blog. We have a pretty funny group of family and friends. We both love cooking, drinking and relaxing at home.
This seems to be the best place to start!

Hi Marcus:
How does WA differ from SBI, they seem to be similar in approach. I was with SBI for 8 years and I had decent traffic to my website Lowermypressure.com (Natural reduction of blood pressure and stress) I had to use the SBI template system so my site looked old and dated and I couldn’t use plugins like wordpress can. I left SBI and hosted my own site but traffic has dropped off the map so I guess they did help with SEO. $47 is quite a bit to pay, the $29 I was paying at SBI seemed like it was too much. Is the cost benefit of WA worth the extra $$?
Thanks!

    Marcus - January 3, 2016 Reply

    Hi Joel,

It’s a great question and it’s one that I’ve been asked a few times.

I also have some previous experience with SBI, and the one thing that stands out from your comments is that SBI sites tend to look dated and a bit clunky. I totally agree with you. I also found the SBI site a bit difficult to navigate and the support wasn’t what I expected as a newbie at that time.

WA has a very fresh and modern feel to it, and although that definitely isn’t everything, it’s a reflection of the fact that the community itself, the tools and training is constantly updated to be current. The support network is also very good with Live Chat, Classrooms and Q&A sections within every training module.

Of course there’s also the fact that WA uses WordPress to build websites for its members. In my opinion there’s no better and easier platform regardless of your level of experience.

Ultimately I feel that WA is a more polished and current program. It offers a great opportunity to any individual if they are serious about generating an income online and creating a more positive future.

Would be great to see you on the inside, Joel, and please don’t forget that it’s completely free to set up a Starter account and at least have a look around or even build a couple of websites.

    All the best to you,

    Marcus – WFHW

Just learnt about WA from being curious about the Green Money get rich scheme. I just signed in. Proud of myself too. However, I am from Kenya and was wondering whether this would still work for me. I am marketing African Designs for my sister and keen to join in on the online marketing. I am not tech savvy at all, but hope the starter’s lesson will greatly assist me. However, before I proceed, I wanted to know whether being based in Kenya may be a problem.

    Marcus - July 9, 2015 Reply

    Hi Atieno,

This will not be a problem for you. Marketing online in the way that WA teaches enables you to reach out to a global audience, so this is a really good opportunity for you to spread the word about your sisters designs.

Hope you are enjoying the training at WA and drop me a line within the community and let me know how things are going :-)

    Cheers,

Hello Marcus,

I´ve been searching the Internet to gain more information about one similar system based on binary trading to one you´ve reviewed in your article about Walter Green´s Free Money. Thankfully, I didn´t try it and I´m kind of interested in what I´ve just read in this article about WA. I´m part time working, but me and my boyfriend don´t have enough money to start our own living… I very much hoped to find something that we both could do in our free time and in this way save enough money… He is interested in various things and maybe WA could be the way out of our uncertainty…

I´d like to ask you a couple of questionsif you don´t mind.

First of all how long has it been until you reached the level of income you were satisfied with (year or two?) and about how many hours a day you worked?

Also is there any list of companies that you promote through links (and their products of course)? Or you can simply choose any company you like? Or how come that you in WA receive payments for promotion of products?
So sorry to bother you, maybe it´s obvious, I just don´t get it…

I´m from Europe so I´ve been also reading comments about functionality of this system across the world, so hopefully there isn´t any language barrier and I could make websites in more langauges…?

Of course, I´m not expecting miracles and I kind of think that me and my bouyfriend would be willing to put an effort into this for about two years until I finish my studies and than finally live together and also support activities we like to do…

Thank you in advance for your time and answer, if possible…

Susan

    Marcus - June 1, 2015 Reply

    Hi Susan,

Thanks for stopping by and sure…I’d be glad to answer your questions.

    1) They are so many factors that contribute to this so there is no real rule of thumb. The key is taking action on what you learn from the training…which works really well. It’s task driven so to move forward you have to actually do something that contributes to the development of your website/business.

Generally speaking tho’, if you are able to commit to say 10 hours a week and used that time wisely, inside of one year is more than possible. For me personally it happened inside that time frame only once I started taking the right kind of action.

    2) Payments are made to you by the companies that you promote, not WA. The training program teaches you how to find the right companies for your niche and they generally pay you via Paypal or wire directly to your bank account.

    3) Definitely so. I’m also in Europe and this hasn’t affected my websites or potential in any way :)

I hope this helps to answer your questions, Susan, but feel free to reply if you need anything else covered.

    All the best,

    Marcus – WFHW

Hi Marcus,

It was nice reading your article. But bit of confusion I have since I don’t have any product to offer. I live in USA but basically from Bangladesh. Without any product but with interest and/or hobbies, can I make some extra money just building website?

Thanx

Mainun

    Marcus - May 28, 2015 Reply

    Hi Mainun,

To be clear you do not need a product at all. The process is such that you promote products and services of others. in return you get commission payments from the product owners for your part of the deal. These of course would be products that are very closely related to your interests and passions. It’s actually a very straight forward and simple process :-)

To answer your question, ABSOLUTELY! That is exactly what I and many others have been doing at WA since 2006.

Hope this helps to answer your questions.

    Best wishes,

Hi Marcus, got here searching for debunkers of the laughable “green machine” video.. I’m not Internet savvy but a co-worker is strongly suggesting that I start a cooking blog.. I don’t know anything about blogging.. Does WA have a course on blogging ? Or can a blog be a website on its own ? Part of me would really like to try but I’d have to do this with limited time available because I don’t want it to interfere with my job.. It would be more of a hobby that I’m hoping could generate some income for me.. Thanks for the article about the free money system scam, I saw much of the same things that you and your commenters saw.. Especially the girl in the office bit.. allegedly she was a millionaire 3 months later but never had to fork over the $200.. in fact she magically made $44 and change that she was overdrawn on.. hahaha.. but she tells you you’re crazy if you don’t pay $200..

    Marcus - May 23, 2015 Reply

    Hi Pan,

So glad that you were able to avoid the Free Money System and could see through lies!

Regarding your blogging question: WA’s focus is to help you build a website based (ideally) on your passions. Note that even if you don’t have any definite interests, WA can help you to uncover something suitable.

The platformed used to build your website within WA is WordPress – widely regarded as the best blogging platform on the Internet. So yes…essentially the WA training teaches you blogging from the ground up.

The pace at which you learn and then build your website is entirely down to you. Some go quick while some fit it in around everything else in the real world! Then is no penalty at all if you take your time.

I hope this helps to address your questions, Pan.

    All the best…

Hello Marcus,
I found your site by reading a review of Liquidation.com. I currently have an ebay business and need to make some real money. The fee’s are killing my business on ebay. Would this program help my retail business?
Thanks, Shawndra

    Marcus - April 18, 2015 Reply

    Hi Shawndra,

    Good question.

In your situation WA would help you to build an online presence (website) for your business and teach you how to drive targeted traffic (visitors) to your offers. Traffic would be generated by search engine rankings primarily, but there are a number of other ways where the focus is on free methods of promotion.

I think WA would be really good for you and your business, Shawndra, and it would be great to see you inside the WA community.

    Marcus - March 31, 2015 Reply

    Hi Samuel,

Yes, WA will definitely work for you in Germany. Building an online business generally means that your website is exposed worldwide, so your potential to generate a consistent income online is as likely as someone in any other part of the world.

WA teaches you everything from the ground up, Samuel, so no experience or knowledge is required to get up and running.

Hope to see you inside WA at some point in the future.

Hi Markus,
I know the technical aspects of webdesign and hosting, not so familiar with marketing, SEO and social media. Is it necessary for a WA website to be hosted on your server? I have my own reseller hosting. What benefit would joining WA bring to me from the marketing side?
Thanks for your time
Christian

    Marcus - March 25, 2015 Reply

    Hi Christian,

To answer your question, no you do not need to host your websites at WA. it’s not a problem to continuing using your reseller account although I would suggest that you consider the numerous benefits of using the WA hosting.

Regarding the marketing side, that’s a good question. In my time online I have seen this industry change and evolve many times, and by being at WA I have always been able to protect and maintain my online business.

This comes down to the fact that WA always moves with the industry as and when those changes happen, so I guess that means it is always completely in the loop when these changes take place. I think this is very important to anyone who is serious about building a successful online business.

On top of that you get training that is constantly updated, some pretty slick marketing tools plus a live support network of a standard that I have not seen elsewhere online.

Hope this helps for now, Christian!

Hello i don’t know if you have already answered this question, but before I try this I would like to know if one can earn money without paying that monthly fee ($47) ?

    Marcus - March 22, 2015 Reply

    Hi Andy,

Sure, no problem. The simple answer is yes you can. You can build a max of 2 websites as a Starter member at WA, and the hosting and costs are free. There’s no limit in terms of time with a Starter membership so if you wish to remain free then you can.

Most members stay on the free side until they either start making money or they can at least see that the earning potential is definitely there.

Obviously the Premium membership has a number of benefits associated with it, but to sum it all up in as few words as possible…the Premium membership increases your potential and earning potential greatly.

Hope this helps and enjoy the remainder of your weekend!

shayne - March 21, 2015 Reply

Hi there,
Im curious as to weather or not the ‘starter membership’ has a ‘locked in term’ or what the fine print is if you decide you dont want to continue with it.
As a single mother of two boys and working part time, I dont want to sign up to something that I may not be able to commit it. In saying that I would really love to give this a try :-)
Thanks for your time shayne.

    Marcus - March 22, 2015 Reply

    Hi Shayne,

    Good question.

The Starter membership is completely free and there is no commitment or lock in term at all. If you try and don’t like…you simply don’t go back.

This is hopefully emphasized by the fact that you do not hand over any credit card or payment details when you sign up for the Starter membership. Just a name and email address.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

Christine - March 2, 2015 Reply

Hi Marcus,
As a person with no experience in online marketing, I am totally ignorant as to where the profit is generated.
I see in your review that once you create a website, you can have ads on the side. Obviously companies will pay you to advertise their product, so that part I understand. Where else is the money generated? Is there a site traffic quota that pays x-amount for hitting certain numbers?
Also, back to the subject of advertising, can I pick and choose which ads are on my site?

Thanks in advance,
Christine

    Marcus - March 3, 2015 Reply

    Hi Christine,

No problem at all…I completely understand your situation.

There are MANY different ways to profit from your website and by making related recommendations to your visitors is one way of doing just that.

These ads can either be in the form of picture ads (like Amazon, for example), text links, or links that earn you an amount every time someone clicks on them. WA teaches you how to use the best kind of links for your website but ultimately you decide what you would like to include.

Whilst one ad might only earn a small amount of money, at the core of WA’s training is how to ensure you get a large volume of interested visitors to your site because the more visitors you have, the more you will earn from clicks. Note the importance of the word “interested”. This is a key factor that WA also teaches.

I hope I haven’t made it sound too complicated here, Christine! This is just a very quick overview but obviously WA covers everything in much greater detail.

Hi Marcus,
I have read a lot of reviews about WA on various scam sites and the constant thread seems t be WA really does work. I live in Australia and have been researching a lot of work from home ideas but sadly there are a lot of people out there who just want to take your money and run never to be heard of again.I had my own café/takeaway business up until a month ago. After owning the business for six months I had an accident in the carpark of the shopping centre and struggled for eighteen months working with a fractured thigh bone and torn meniscus which was not detected until four months after the accident.I am now unable to work because I now need a total knee replacement which I am waiting for. One important thing I learnt from this experience is that when you work for yourself you do what you need to so you get through and keep the business running,it was not easy and very painful. Sadly I had to sell the business because I could not keep going and I did not make a great deal from the sale so money is very tight which is putting a lot of preasure on my partner.I don’t want to be filthy rich but I would like to be able to replace my income as quickly as possible. I know nothing about niche markets or building web sites and I know this is probably a stupid question, can WA do that for me? I am sick of all the scam sites out there and I’m hoping WA is all you say it is.
Kind Regards,
Wayne.

    Marcus - February 11, 2015 Reply

    Hi Wayne,

I’m really sorry to hear about your injury and the sale of your business.

The reality of Wealthy Affiliate is that it really is a great program IF you invest your time in it and take action on what the training teaches you.

Yes, WA can help you with every step of the process and help you to develop a niche idea, even if you don’t have one, and then turn it into a successful online business. But the important part is to actually put in the effort. Without it there will be no success.

If you can do that Wayne, and I’m sensing that you can, you have a great opportunity in front of you.

Hope this helps for now, and if you do decide to take a look at WA let’s connect on the inside!

Jeff - February 4, 2015 Reply

Hi Marcus,

As one could expect, I’ve drowned in researching lists of make-money schemes claiming to make you rich overnight, in 2 months, or whatever with every one of them being a scam. Quite frankly, I don’t need to get/be rich super fast. I’m an honest person working full time who has been going through very difficult financial times struggling to keep up with bills, pay a mortgage, and have the knowledge that I can get by with more than just $170 bi-weekly which is pretty much all I can set aside to buy groceries. It’s maddening. That’s very little considering the cost of food to feed a family of 3 and take care of pets. It’s enough to squeak by (barely) being very very conservative and smart about shopping. Sure, I mean that teaches you a lesson on how to be a savy shopper, I guess, but even I have limits to “smart” conservation and it’s at the point of practical ridiculousness at this point. Gone are the days of spending $600+ comfortably every couple weeks just to go shopping for a family. I’d like to be able to do that again without worrying.

Anyway, I guess what this boils down to is that I don’t want to be rich fast. I don’t even need to be rich at all. I just would like to earn some additional income to help pay some of my bills and not be up all night terrified of losing my home.

I think I’ve read enough about WA to at the very least give it a try.

I’m interested in technology and I also collect animation art (kind of interesting hobbies I know) but I’m a bit scared of not being able to hone into a particular niche.

But I’ll give it a try. Hope to hear from you.

Jeff

    Marcus - February 7, 2015 Reply

    Hi Jeff,

I’m really sorry to hear about your situation and have to say that you are taking a brilliant approach here. If more people accepted that there’s no such thing as a ‘magic pill’ online, they would save themselves a lot of time, hassle and money.

WA will be great for you because you are realistic and you do not have extravagent income requirements from the start. WA will teach you how to build a successful business from the ground up, which in time has the potential to earn you a really good income.

I’m available every day inside WA, Jeff, so if you do give it a try then by all means drop me a message on my profile.

    Hi Courtney,

    You are very welcome!

To answer your question, regardless of your situation WA will provide you with the opportunity earn a consistent income online and give you everything you need to scale your earnings up to the right level for you. Make no mistake though, WA most certainly isn’t a “get rich quick” program, but if you put in the effort you will get positive and legitimate results in return.

Regarding tax, my advice would be to seek professional advice on taxation within Australia as every country is different. This topic is discussed and advised on within WA.

hi, again, have read comments etc and it sounds good….. only trouble is….. i dont do any one thing well!! there is nothing that stands out to me as something one could consider a niche, something that i could consider myself to have expertise in…… would WA even be able to get me through this phase?

    Marcus - December 29, 2014 Reply

    Hi Kerianne,

    Good question.

Within the initial training at WA you will learn how to explore things that interest you and turn them into potential niche ideas for your website. There are examples given, really simple examples, which prove just how much potential there is out there.

If you reach this point and still can’t come up with a niche idea, WA has a separate training section called ‘Affiliate Bootcamp’ where you are given a niche plus further training and examples of how to get up and running asap.

In short, all angles are covered for you…even if you can’t come up with a suitable niche idea.

How do you generate income from Wealthy Affiliate? It seems promising but I can’t connect the dots.

    Marcus - December 27, 2014 Reply

    Hi Amy,

When you build a website with a solid foundation then your opportunity to earn in a variety of ways increases greatly. This is what WA teaches you, and more importantly provides for you in the shape of tools, resources, training and ongoing support.

Earnings can be generated from simple ads/links on your website where you make recommendations to products related to your niche through a variety of networks which only require you to place a special link on your site. Alternatively you can use things like Adsense from Google or one of the many other ad networks available.

To be honest there are countless ways to earn from what you have on your website, all of which are explained in great detail within the training. This is actually the easiest part of the whole process.

Hope this helps to give you a clearer idea, Amy!

Hi Marcus,
I found your web site while doing a search about Walter Green’s Free Money System. To my sceptical eye it looked like a Scam and I was interested to see what was “out there” on the subject. Thanks for a helpful Review.
Then I came across your comments about Wealthy Affiliate and explored a bit further. The `acid test’ of “if it looks too good to be true …..” makes Wealthy Affiliate look dubious. The key question seems to be, “if all this resource is provided to newbies free and indefinitely, then where do Wealthy Affiliate make their profits?”. And I couldn’t find a ready answer. Can you clarify?
All the best
Gordon

    Marcus - December 11, 2014 Reply

    Hi Gordon,

First of all, I’m pleased to hear that I was able to help you with my Free Money System review.

Regarding your question about Wealthy Affiliate, it’s a good question.

As mentioned in my review above, Wealthy Affiliate does have a Premium membership level at $47 per month and this is obviously where the income comes from. This way of making a service available is no different to how many other business operate these days where they offer a free version so people can try at no cost.

Important point here is the fact there are no time restrictions with the Starter membership at WA, so you can try it for a week, month, year or even remain a free member forever and you won’t pay a penny.

If at any point you feel you would like to become a Premium member and receive the extras associated with that level then it will cost $47. However, anyone who does make that decision has made an informed decision as they have tried the Starter membership first. Premium members can also cancel there membership at any point (if they wish to) and are not tied into a contract of any kind.

Hope this helps to clarify things for you, Gordon, and do drop me a line inside WA if you decide to take a look.

Hi Marcus,

I already have a blog that has a lot of my material of my niche idea. Can this be transferred over to a WA website? Or do I have to build up from scratch again with a WA website?

    Marcus - November 26, 2014 Reply

    Good question James!

Yes you can. If you are using WordPress for your current blog then you can export it (from within your WordPress dashboard via a plugin) and then import it into your domain when inside WA. You will also have to transfer your DNS over to WA so that the domain is hosted there in order to receive your website import.

That all sounds very technical but it’s actually straight forward. As someone who has already built a blog I’m hoping that the above won’t be too complicated for you. Full instructions are of course available inside WA.

Hi Marcus,
How do you get “traffic” to your WA site? Is that kind of information included on the getting started training, or is that where the $47/mo premium membership comes in?

    Marcus - November 17, 2014 Reply

    Hi Liz,

The ‘Getting Started’ training explains the process from the ground up, and yes it explains how you generate website visitors via the search engines (plus other free methods). As a Premium member you gain access to all the advanced stuff on every level associated with building an online business.

The Starter Membership is designed to give folks a clear idea of how everything works and they can also start to earn. At that point they can continue as a Starter member or upgrade to Premium if they wish. There is no timescale associated with the Starter membership…it’s free for as long as you want it to be.

I have landed on this page because I was reading your review about another product. Is WA really what you have made it out to be? It just seems to good to be true.

Thanks for listening,

    Marcus - November 13, 2014 Reply

    Hi Faye,

    Thanks for stopping by.

I completely appreciate your situation having been through similar experiences myself in the past. You get to the point of feeling that nothing is ever going to work and that the only people making money are those who own the products.

That was how I felt when I first joined WA, and I know many people arrive with a similar mindset. For me there are many reasons why WA is so appealing, but for people who have tried to make money online it’s the fact that everything is included under one roof. I’m sure you can appreciate the costs associated with trying to create an online business (good hosting, domains, keyword tools, training, website builder and so on).

But I think the biggest factor is the level of support and HOW it is provided live when you need it. This wasn’t in place when I first joined but the fact it’s in place now, and it’s unique to WA, is a clear indication of Kyle & Carson’s (the WA owners) desire to genuinely help people to become successful.

In my personal experience WA ticks just about every box, Faye. The fact that it is completely free as a Starter member also allows people to at least try it without paying a penny. This is another reason why I rate it so highly.

If you do decide to give it a look then by all means drop me a line via my WA profile and I’ll be happy to give you a hand!

I am a stay at home mom and I really like the look of Wealthy Affiliate.

A question that I need to ask is in relation to time. My days are full of duties at home and I was wondering if I will in any way be asked to do the training within a certain timeframe?

If so then I will have to look elsewhere because at most I will only be able to commit an hour a day in the evenings, maybe more at the weekends.

Thank you.

Suzi

    Marcus - November 11, 2014 Reply

    Hi Suzi,

    Good question.

The training can be done completely at your leisure and there are no time restrictions in place. The initial ‘Getting Started’ training comprises of 10 lessons which take you from understanding the process at WA right through to having your own website up and running at no cost.

The pitch of the training is designed to appeal to people who are new to this so it’s very user-friendly. An hour a day is more than enough time to commit to the training, and more importantly, to creating and growing an online business at WA. It will develop at a pace that is reflective of the time you can commit to it – if that makes sense!

Hope this helps for now and drop me a line inside WA if you decide to give it a look.

Just needing some technical questions answered, How long would the 10 lessons take if you are putting in 1hr day for example and setting up the two free websites working at 10hrs a week? Also once all is set up and ready, roughly realistically on average how much does WA think you can make given a 10hr a week work timeframe and in what timeframe? Appreciate your feedback in advance

        Marcus - September 9, 2015 Reply

        Hi Rebecca,

Depending on your experience, the 10 lessons will probably take 1-2 hours each to complete fully. By the end of one week I would say that you would certainly have started building your website. I suggest focusing on just one initially until you fully understand the process.

Regarding your second question, I wouldn’t like to try and estimate how much your website could earn over any period of time because there are many contributing factors. The key to earning as soon as possible is to take action on what you learn from the training at WA. The closer you stick to the WA process, the greater your chances are of building a successful online business. Your potential will become more obvious over time.

By all means drop me a line inside WA and I’ll be happy to give you some pointers in the right direction :)

        All the best,

Hi Marcus,

I >30 years old, female, and I am unemployed. I suffered a familial tragedy and am just now recovering emotionally. I seem to spend most of my days online as a young person in these times. You say in your review that Wealthy Affiliate offers the training and assistance necessary to guide someone safely, and most importantly successfully, through to operating an online business or marketing scheme. Truthfully what does it take to turn the skills taught at Wealthy Affiliate into a livable wage? Is it realistic if someone was willing to commit 30hrs a week to this endeavor?

To be frank, I know nothing of online marketing or how it is done. What I have noticed is the large number of scams online ‘representing’ the industry, and a very vague approach to explaining what these systems are about and the methods employed to actually make money in the online market.

Can you help me by explaining what the support WA offers to someone as new to this as I am? Also, can you shed some light on what methods WA suggests an individual apply to effectively make money online?

    Hi Faith,

I can certainly try to help here.

Firstly, you are right to suggest this industry is riddled with scams…that is why I try expose as many of them as possible here on my website. One of the reasons why I speak so highly of WA is because it has been around since 2005 and has helped 10,000’s of people to get earning online in that time.

In my experience, scams do not last that long because once they are exposed for what they are they simply have to disappear. WA on the other hand has 1000’s of positive reviews online.

The training at WA is comprehensive…a complete A-Z teaching you how to build a profitable website plus all the tools required are included. This means that you do not have any additional charges and this is something that the scam products like to spring on you once you join.

Support is therefore very important and as you will see from my review above, there is plenty of it at WA. Not only that but the WA co-owners are on hand every day if you require their help. You very rarely see this level of commitment within other programs.

To answer your question: “what does it take?”, the answer is simple:

A desire to improve your situation and a willingness to take action on what you learn. All of the other components are include at WA so if you can bring those 2 things to the table, you have every chance of improving your situation.

Hope to see you inside WA, Faith. Drop me a line if you do and I’ll be happy to give you a hand :-)

Hi Marcus,
I found your web site while doing a search for mechanical turk. You were discussing the pros and cons of being a Turker.

I then kept reading and came across the Wealthy Affiliate. I am interested in developing a web site for my farm. My sister and I raise meat, fiber and milking goats. We make crafts, cheese, and sell meat goats. We also sell processed and unprocessed fiber. I would love to learn step by step how to create a website for our items we would like to sell off the farm. What do you think? I’m totally illiterate when it comes to creating a web site. Is it possible?

    Hi Jill,

    Thanks for stopping by.

Building a website is actually made very straight forward at Wealthy Affiliate, and it doesn’t cost a penny either (no hosting or domain fees).

In my experience the part that people tend to struggle with is choosing a niche, but in your situation you already have a niche in place (and it’s a great idea!). This will definitely ensure that you hit the ground running but if you do change your mind then the training on finding a suitable niche is pretty much fail-safe.

Pop over to WA and give your ideas a go, Jill. The training is very step-by-step and I’ll be on hand to help if you need me!

    All the best for now…

I’ve been at WA for just under a year and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience. I’ve been able to build myself a little website that earns me a very helpful income each month. Who says us oldies can’t learn a thing or two!

I’m taking early retirement in December and I plan to build another website as I will have more spare time. I love the process of crafting something of value online and then earning a regular income for my efforts. It’s a brilliant feeling.

I know of you from within WA Marcus and I’m impressed to see how committed you are to helping people both inside and outside of WA.

Much success to you,

JohnW

    Hi John,

It’s great to hear that you have enjoyed the last year at WA and have built yourself a useful income stream. That’s one of the beauties of WA…unlimited websites and hosting means you can build as many of these as you like. Hopefully that becomes a reality for you in December!

Thanks for stopping, John, and thanks also for the kind words.

    All the best,

The Starter membership sounds too good to be true. Surely you have to pay something?

If there are any hidden costs could you please tell me prior to me signing up? Money is really tight here and I don’t want to make another mistake.

    Marcus - September 25, 2014 Reply

    Hi Rich,

I can absolutely assure you that it’s true.

The Starter membership has been put in place for those who are new to making money online and might be on a tight budget. It is also suitable for those who might have been scammed before and want to test the program without any risk.

The Starter membership also includes free websites, domain names and hosting for your websites (as well as step by step training). This is an area where other programs exploit people by locking them into a recurring hosting payment which can run into $100’s per year.

One other point to consider is there is no time limit to the Starter membership. You can try today and then come back in 6 months time if you want and your account will still be active. This is also an area where other programs catch people out by offering 7 or 14 days before they have to upgrade.

Hope this helps to clarify things for you Rich. By all means stop by my WA profile if you join and I will be happy to help you get up and running :-)

    All the best,

Hi, seeing your reply, does it mean that I have upgrade at certain period of time? And will I get kicked out if I don’t upgrade? Is it like recruiting company which earn by people register through your website? This sounds too good to be true, and seems hard to earn. I wonder how wealthy affiliate earn from us. And how we can earn from joining? I am a total newbie but in great debt hope to get a true help and not get scam again please. Thanks.

        Marcus - January 10, 2015 Reply

        Hi Sally,

No, you do not have to upgrade at ANYTIME if you don’t want to and you won’t get kicked out.

The Starter membership is completely free for as long as you want it to be and yes, you are able to earn from your website whilst being a Starter member.

Regarding how WA earn from their members, they do so from those who upgrade to the Premium membership.

This level of transparency is only used by businesses who have absolutely nothing to hide. They are basically saying: “Hey try us for free and you can leave at anytime at no cost. If you would like to unlock our advanced service on the back of your experiences it will cost $x.”

Open and honest. That’s why I rate WA so highly.

Hope this has helps and if you do give WA a try, stop by my personal profile and say “Hi” and I will be happy to give you a hand.

        All the best,
